MentorMate Completes Second Leg of iQpakk Project at Fairview Hospital St Paul, Minnesota-September 15, 2005 – MentorMate, LLC, a St Paul-based mobile software applications developer and services company announced conclusion of the second leg of the Fairview Hospital mobile education project in collaboration with Century College. Fairview Hospital, which is in partnership with the University of Minnesota, selected iQpakk to deliver a course on ethics for healthcare interpreters. Fairview Hospital is Minnesota's largest hospital system, treating patients of many nationalities, some of which do not speak English. The Interpreters Office serves non-English speakers. By the very nature of their work, interpreters are constantly crossing the large hospital campuses in Minnesota. Staying on top of training is paramount.
iQpakk was developed specifically to deliver content via a mobile application to students in a manner by which as a student learns and the questions and content become more complex. The advantages of iQpakk are: prevention of learner frustration and fatigue, increasing retention of information over time, and matching learner ability with difficulty of material.
