St Paul, Minnesota-March 1, 2004 – MentorMate, LLC is a St Paul-based mobile software developer and services company announced their strategic relationship with Century College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, whereby the organizations are partnering to deliver the iQpakk mobile learning application as a tool to promote mobile learning for a variety of courses and clients through Century College. iQpakk was developed specifically to deliver content via a mobile application to students in a manner by which as a student learns and the questions and content become more complex. The advantages of iQpakk are: prevention of learner frustration and fatigue, increasing retention of information over time, and matching learner ability with difficulty of material.

“Century College serves a large adult student population with busy schedules and mobile lifestyles. Bringing the education to the learner rather than the other way around allows Century College to profile itself on the cutting edge and to better serve its customers”, stated Mr. Stanvik. The College submits existing electronic course material, including a variety of standard MS Office files to MentorMate. This content is quickly formatted into a SCORM compliant database which can be deployed on mobile devices as well as the web. The College bundles PDAs with courses and provides these to learners. Test results are automatically uploaded to the iQpakk web database where College instructors can access scores, modify and assign courses, among many other things.

Currently, iQpakk is delivered exclusively on PalmOne devices and the tool has seen commercial success in collaboration with PalmOne to deliver content in webinars. The partnership with Century College brings to the table a well-respected teaching organization and a leading edge custom mobile application development organization at MentorMate to students and the marketplace in the ongoing mission to deliver a value add mobile e-learning solution.
